Excluding that Canadian tuxedo Justin Timberlake wore to coordinate with Britney Spears at the 2001 American Music Awards, Mr. JT and his constant collaborator Jay Z really do be on their suit and tie game. Ever since American designer (and film director!) Tom Ford began dressing Justin in 2011, the singer’s been extremely loyal to the label. He wore TF to the 2012 Met Gala, the 2013 Time 100 Gala, the 2013 Grammy Awards, the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards, not to mention, all throughout his 20/20 Experience world tour — Mr. Ford actually created more than 600 exclusive pieces for Justin, his backup dancers, and band to wear on stage. But perhaps the biggest endorsement Mr. Ford got out of all this is having his designs immortalized in the “Suit & Tie” music video and in the imagery for Justin and Jay Z’s The Legends of the Summer Stadium Tour in 2013.
He don’t pop Molly, he rocks Tom Ford. And sometimes, he rocks “Tom Ford tuxedos for no reason.” Those are just a couple TF references Jay drops in various rap verses and one namesake song. Hova had his Tom on for the 2013 presidential inauguration, the Great Gatsby premiere in May 2013, and of course, with JT for their stylish “Suit & Tie” collaboration.

English fashion designer Neil Barrett, who is known for his minimalist menswear, designed tour duds for Justin and The Tennessee Kids to wear during the Summer months of the 20/20 Experience world tour. JT seamlessly incorporated the new items into his road wardrobe, like pairing a patterned, short-sleeved, button-up shirt with a blazer and bowler hat. He also wore them in both the “Take Back The Night” and “Love Never Felt So Good” music videos.
